Liverpool reached the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League after beating Atletico Madrid 2-0 on Wednesday night.
With this feat, the Reds have won their opening four matches of a Champions League this season for the first time and cliched their fourth successive win in the Champions League for the first time since March 2009.
Talented players, Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane made the difference in the match by scoring one goal each in the 13th and 21st minute respectively.
Without any iota of doubt Jurgen Klopp’s team have put up a scintillating performance considering their current form in the English and European league.
Their history of not tasting defeat for 25 matches, dating back to 6 April when they lost to Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of last season’s Champions League is a proof.
