London is currently experiencing housing crisis due to the effects of the global coronavirus pandemic.
At the moment, there are fears that one of the worst hit cities will face a worsening housing crisis.
According to Evening Standard, the data from the Greater London Authority (GLA) shows that the lockdown and other measures taken to restrict the spread of the coronavirus have had a devastating impact on Sadiq Khan’s original ambition to fund 116,000 “genuinely affordable” flats and houses by 2022.
Meanwhile, to date, just 53,405 affordable homes have got under way since his election in May 2016.
On the completed number, even fewer, just 1,201, were actually completed.
