Real Madrid have scaled through to the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday after beating Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Paris Saint-Germain scored in the 39th minute through super star Kylian Mbappe, but Karim Benzema sent the Los Blancos to the next round after scoring a superb Hat-trick.
PSG’s performance has been questioned by so many people, as some tag it a huge failure.
The mistakes made by the some of the players cost them the terrible serious loss. Neymar gave the ball away so cheaply on the second goal. And then Marquinhos, put the ball in the stand.
After the poor performance by PSG, some people, like French football expert, Julien Laurens who spoke on BBC Radio 5 live, have decided to put the blame on Mauricio Pochettino, stressing that ‘’he has been reactive, not proactive, especially at 1-1, unlike Carlo Ancelotti.’’
Julien also stated that ‘’Away from home, there is a psychological problem. They played seven of the top eight in Ligue 1 away and haven’t won once. They don’t put the effort in.’’
