Napoli on Sunday grabbed a 3-0 win over Cremonese at the Stadio Maradona, taking their league lead to 16 points.
The current highest goal scorer in the Serie A, Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Eljif Elmas made the win a reality as they scored one goal each for Napoli.
Luciano Spalletti’s team also put up a scintillating performance in the match, boosting their 33-year wait for the league crown as each week passes by.
In reaction to the sixth consecutive league win, Spalletti speaking to DAZN said, “The city is making sure that we’re always on the case, we all want to win,”
“We need to take it one match at a time… we can’t think it’s already done and start thinking about other things, or think everything’s going to look after itself.
“We need to take care of everything ourselves.”
Interestingly, Cremonese knocked Napoli out of the Italian Cup on the same ground last month.
Unfortunately, the away team who are close to the bottom of the table, are still yet to win in their first Serie A season since 1996.
