Nuno Espirito Santo: Former Wolves Boss Eyes Tottenham Manager’s Job

Nuno Eyes Spurs Job

The vacant Tottenham Hotspurs managerial job has attracted former Wolves boss, Nuno Espirito Santo, making him a leading contender.

There has been a serious search for a replacement of Portuguese tactician, Jose Mourinho since he was sacked by Spurs, on 19 April, 2021.

Meanwhile, in the quest for the club to hire a manager, former Roma boss, Paulo Fonseca was contacted, but negotiations to get the Portuguese on board ended last week while Gennaro Gattuso also went out of consideration amid a fan protest.

Apart from this move this summer, Everton and Crystal Palace have contacted 47-year-old Santo for the vacant managerial jobs at the clubs respectively.

On Santo’s history and feat at Wolves, the Portuguese coach won the Championship title in his first season, also helped Wolves to finish seventh in the Premier League in the following two seasons before finishing 13th last season.

Santo left Wolves in May after four years.
