Norway international, Martin Odegaard has joined Arsenal, from Real Madrid for a fee of about £30m.
This development is coming after goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale completed a medical before a move from Sheffield United.
The 22-year-old who has made 20 appearances in all competitions and scored two goals, spent the second half of last season on loan at the Emirates.
In the case of England Under-21 international Ramsdale, it was a different feat as he made 38 Premier League appearances for the Blades last season.
In order to boost the strength of the goalkeepers, he will Arsenal’s goalkeepers, Bernd Leno and Runar Alex Runarsson.
In reaction to the development, Gunners boss, Mikel Arteta made some comments. He said, “There is still some paperwork but his medical is done, still a few things to sort with Sheffield,”
“Aaron is a talented young keeper with huge experience and has international experience for England. He will bring competition and that’s what we want to create – healthy competition, quality competition in every position. We identified Aaron as the ideal option.”
