Two Tottenham Hotspurs Players, Eric Dier and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have been reportedly targeted by Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese was announced coach of Roma.
This development has occurred after Mourinho started his plan with a list of transfer targets as there are reports that the 58-year-old hopes to get his former club two players.
The idea to bring both players on board was triggered by the new Roma coach plan, to replace Paulo Fonseca at Roma at the end of the season.
According to Italian outlet, Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho hopes to land Dier and Hojbjerg in Roma, when the transfer window reopens.
Both Dier and Hojbjerg were mainstays in Mourinho’s Spurs team. Although it has previously been reported that only one player – Harry Kane – was loyal to Mourinho right to the end of his spell with the North London club.
Prior to Mourinho’s contract, Tiago Pinto, Roma’s General Manager of Football made some comments about the Portuguese. Pinto said, “When Jose became available, we immediately jumped at the chance to speak with one of the greatest managers of all time.”
