Aston Villa skipper, Jack Grealish may join Premier League champion Manchester City soon, as a deal of a £100m signing is underway.
The signing for the Aston Villa captain could come as quick as him being featured in the Community Shield against Leicester City on Saturday.
The England midfielder’s move will make history in British football as the most expensive transfer, surpassing the likes of Paul Pogba who was signed from Juventus in 2016 – Manchester United paid the sum of £89m to re-sign France midfielder.
Other signings in England that the 25-year-old would surpass are Harry Maguire £78m, Romelu Lukaku £75, Virgil Van Dijk £75.
Meanwhile, Grealish is expected to have his medical at Manchester City on Thursday.
This move for Grealish comes after the talented player returns to pre-season training with Aston Villa following Euro 2020.
