Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Sunday played a major in Barcelona’s win against Valencia by scoring a hat-trick in the La Liga.
The former Arsenal star also achieved the feat of scoring his first goals of the match with the hat-trick to help Barca extend their unbeaten run in La Liga to nine matches.
Aubameyang, who joined from Arsenal for free on 2 February, slammed in the opener on his first La Liga start.
Another Barca star that picked up the fire was Frenkie de Jong, despite a VAR check for offside, he tapped in a second and Aubameyang converted from close range.
The goals galore later went on the side of Valencia when Carlos Soler scored for his team before Aubameyang net a superb third.
Pedri’s efforts towards scoring a goal almost paid off for him when he appeared to have scored Barcelona’s fourth but the goal, but was later awarded to Aubameyang.
The efforts of Aubameyang triggered comments from Barca midfielder Sergio Busquets who said: “Since Aubameyang arrived, he has been working hard. We know he hasn’t played many minutes this season.
“He is a fabulous player and having him in the squad, having come here for free, is really positive for us.”
