Because of the current regressive state of the Nigerian economy, low standard of living and access to skills, like coding especially, has become more expensive and information in the media provides a solution for the youth, who believes fraudulent act is the fast and possible way of getting out of poverty and living a better life.
This case is evident in the reason transactional organized cyber crime has been a major cause of concern to the Nigerian. This has been a major plaque affecting the minds of youths and even children. From my little experience in the humanitarian/government field, I have discovered that the Nigerian youth and children have a very narrow perception about wealth and money.
This has resulted to them making use of their skills and talents negatively and causing a great havoc to the Nigerian society and economy as this issue is still left unaddressed especially from the root cause.
Despite my past experience while leading a startup business which attracted investors from silicon Valley and the Europe, failure occurred because the best tech programmers were being highly priced and they were mostly funded by banks and big brands, leaving the masses with unskilled programmers and yet Tech is the new oil.
I, Emotu Harrison Onimowo, a graduate of Entrepreneurship from Silicon Valley program have attracted investors from across the globe. The ability to work with programmers and develop MVP/product was too expensive and there has been scarcity, finding skilled programmers in Nigeria, as the few best where occupied.
This problem gave birth to Dream-Work Tech, achieving this through its online/offline coding skill training platform among African youth, providing free and very affordable coding skill training with a team of 7 years experience.
I have also coded a simple matching card game that inspires people to vote wisely. Those who want to play the game can click on the link or join free coding training on whatsapp group https://chat.whatsapp.com/KE5Xd9hOe282fu2bun671F
