NNPCL Raises Petrol Pump Price To N617/Litre

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) on Tuesday raised the pump price of Petrol, known as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N537 to N617 again, in Abuja and environs.

As a result of the sudden increase in PMS price, queues have resurfaced at some filling stations on Tuesday morning while NNPC filling stations in Abuja remained shut for some few hours for adjustment of fuel pumps to reflect the new price of N617.

The NNPCL station at Dei-Dei Junction had already adjusted its pump price to N617 per litre but where motorists slow to start buying at the new pump price, The Leadership reports.

Going memory lane, a day after President Tinubu was sworn into Power the Nation’s Apex Petrol station increased the fuel price from N195 per litre to 537 per litre.

The development was prompted by Tinubu’s inaugural speech, after he said fuel subsidies would be removed.
