The journey of adoption continues with the 2022 edition of the World Adoption Day, which is usually celebrated every 9th day of November.
The day is for the purpose of celebrating families, raising awareness for adoption and raising funds to support families in the adoption journey.
World Adoption Day considers some vital areas like encouraging adoptees, and share their stories as some couples who are experiencing the pain of infertility are usually encouraged to adopt which gives them opportunity to become parents.
While this day is set aside for adoptive parents to connect with others and reflect upon their adoption journey, this option also comes with its challenges as many children are still in need of a home after they have gone through the process.
According to UNICEF, more than 150 million children throughout the world are in need of a home.
The special day has been accepted globally as ambassadors from all over the world come together on this day to celebrate World Adoption Day.
