A large Russian ship has been destroyed near the southern port city of Berdyansk on Thursday, as the war in Ukraine hits one month, the Ukrainian Navy says.
Videos of the destruction which was posted on social media revealed that the fire had secondary explosions in the port.
Ukraine’s Navy also disclosed that large landing vessel-the “Orsk”- was hit and set ablaze in the Sea of Azov in the early hours of Thursday.
The post says, “The Orsk large landing ship of the Black Sea Fleet of the occupiers has been destroyed in the port of Berdyansk captured by Russia”
Meanwhile, apart from the Russian ship that was destroyed, an ammunition depot and a fuel warehouse were hit, Ukrainian media reports.
Berdyansk was captured by Russia weeks ago and has been using the port for refuelling. It lies between Crimea and the besieged city of Mariupol.
