Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky said he is not hiding and don’t have an intention to give up on the war in his country.
Zelensky made the statement in a video on Monday, pledging to the world that he is ready to remain in Kyiv.
While making the decision, the confident president from the onset has not been ignorant of the fact that he and his family will be prime targets.
Although, there has been several attempts to assassinate the president, Ukrainian officials said last week.
There are also reports from Daily Beast that more attempts have been made to assassinate him.
Zelensky who spoke from his office said, “Now I will say one thing: I stay here. I stay in Kyiv. On Bankova Street. I’m not hiding. And I’m not afraid of anyone. As much as it takes to win this Patriotic War of ours,”
“You know, we used to say: Monday is a hard day. There is a war in the country. So every day is Monday. And now we are used to the fact that every day and every night are like that.”
Despite the damages that Russian forces have made in Kyiv, Kherson, Kharkiv and other places, Zelensky has also promised that despite lack of weaponry, he said. Victory will “definitely be achieved.”
