Russian forces in Ukraine on Friday intensified their attacks and extended it to Dnipro, another city in the country.
Before the development, the civilian area, which is the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro has apparently been a target by the Russian forces.
Meanwhile, in response to the situation in the country, the claims by Russia that Ukraine is developing chemical weapons has been rejected by President Zelensky in a late-night address.
As for the US, such claims have been tagged “laughable”, and seen to be “false flag” to justify Russia’s potential use of similar weapons against Ukraine.
According to the emergency services, this appeared to be the first direct attack on the city. On casualties concerning the attack, there is a report that at least one person has been killed, but the Identity of the person has not been confirmed.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has continued plans to send volunteer fighters to help Russia-backed forces in Ukraine, as a senior US defence official says they have moved three miles (5km) closer to Kyiv in the past 24 hours.
So far, the peace talks between the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Russia in Turkey ends without any progress towards a ceasefire.
