British comedian, Sean Lock has been confirmed at the age of 58 after suffering from cancer ailment.
Lock, after his death will be remembered for the series 8 Out of 10 Cats, hosted by Jimmy Carr, a comedy panel show favourite, which he was a team captain.
Other feats accorded to his profile are his appearance on QI, The Last Leg, Have I Got News for You, and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year.
While tribute was paid to the great comedian, Bill Bailey in his own tribute said, “It’s heart-breaking to lose my dearest friend Sean Lock, he was a true original, a wonderful comic.”
In the words of Jon Richardson on Twitter, “I idolised Sean as a comic long before I became a comedian myself and 10 years working alongside him didn’t diminish that in the least. An incredible comic brain and a truly unique voice.”
Richardson will also be remembered for appearing opposite Lock as a fellow team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats.
