American rapper, Kanye West has filed court documents Tuesday to legally change his name.
The business mogul who indicated interest in bearing his longtime two-letter nickname, Ye, with no middle name or last name, wants to get rid of his full name, Kanye Omari West.
West who just wants to be Ye, has started legal processes with the Los Angeles Superior Court
There are “personal reasons” that has been stated in the documents why the 44-year-old wants to change his name change.
Meanwhile, the documents, dated Aug. 11 were not sent into the court system until Tuesday.
An email seeking comment from the attorney who filed the documents was not immediately returned.
