Brazil football legend, Pele, has said goodbye to family and friends, in a video posted by Golaut official on YouTube.
This development was revealed in an appalling video, as the football star battles with cancer.
In the video which has gone viral, the condition of the three-time world champion has deteriorated as he was seen struggling to breathe.
Pele, 82, who recently spent Christmas Day there had a tumour removed from his colon in September 2021, and was admitted to the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in Sao Paulo on November 29, 2022.
Considering the severity of his health condition, his daughter and family members have made sacrifice to stay with him as the Brazil great receives care in the hospital.
However, in the posted video tagged, ‘Pele says goodbye to family and friends from the hospital bed’, the legend was recorded faintly passing a message.
In reaction to the situation, some notable personalities shared their thoughts on the situation.
British businessman and sports manager, Frank Khalid said in a Twitter post, “Pele says goodbye to family and friends from the hospital bed. Football legend, Pele is slowly losing the battle against cancer, family says ‘his condition is worsening even further’,” Khalid wrote.
Pele’s former rivals, Romario, in a video on social media wished the Brazilian football legend well.
“King, get better. So much faith. The whole world is looking and praying for you. Improvements! I kiss your heart.”, Romario said, while speaking to Ge Globo.
