Arokodare Tipped To Replace Injured Lukaku At Napoli

Napoli’s attacking plans have been thrown into disarray following Romelu Lukaku’s thigh injury, which is expected to sideline the Belgian for at least three months.

But the Italian giants may have found their solution in Tolu Arokodare, the Nigerian forward who lit up Belgium with 23 goals and 7 assists last season for KRC Genk.

Why Arokodare Fits Napoli’s Needs

Conte’s System Ready-Made. At 6’6”, Arokodare offers the same physical presence, aerial dominance, and direct style that made Lukaku a natural fit for Antonio Conte’s setup. Scouts at Napoli were already tracking him before Lukaku’s setback, and the injury has only accelerated talks.

Affordable but Proven. Genk has tagged the 24-year-old at €20–25 million, a fee Napoli views as reasonable for a striker who’s both prolific and still developing.

Transfer Battle Heating Up

Napoli isn’t alone in chasing Arokodare. His breakout campaign has turned him into one of Europe’s hottest commodities:

AC Milan sees him as a lower-cost alternative to fellow Nigerian Victor Boniface.

Fulham want him to bolster their Premier League firepower.

Monaco have placed him high on their shortlist as they rebuild their frontline.

Galatasaray and Trabzonspor are circling in Turkey.

Even Manchester United is monitoring developments as it rethinks its striker options.
