Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky has removed two top generals in the country, Naumov Andriy Olehovych and Kryvoruchko Serhiy Oleksandrovych on Thursday, as the war in the country continues.
Zelensky, in an address posted to social media on Thursday night, referred to the generals as “antiheroes”, stressing that he does not have time to deal with all the traitors.
“Today another decision was made regarding antiheroes. Now I do not have time to deal with all the traitors. But gradually they will all be punished,” he said.
Prior to their removal from service, Naumov Andriy Olehovych, was the former chief of the Main Department of Internal Security of the Security Service of Ukraine, while Kryvoruchko Serhiy Oleksandrovych was the former head of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region.
Speaking further, Zelensky made it clear that he won’t give room for random generals.
In his words, “Those servicemen among senior officers who have not decided where their homeland is, who violate the military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people as regards (to) the protection of our state, its freedom and independence, will inevitably be deprived of senior military ranks. Random generals don’t belong here!”
