US President, Joe Biden has told all American citizens in Ukraine to leave the country as soon as possible due to threats of Russian military action.
While warning that “things could go crazy quickly” in the region, Mr. Biden said he won’t send troops to rescue Americans if Moscow invades Ukraine.
Despite the signs of tensions being made evident in the region, Russia has consistently denied any plans to invade Ukraine. Interestingly, the country has massed more than 100,000 troops near the border.
Other signs being made evident are Ukraine, accusing Russia of blocking its access to the sea coupled with the beginning of massive military drills with neighbouring Belarus.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin says it wants to enforce “red lines” to make sure that its former Soviet neighbour does not join Nato.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Thursday that Europe faced its biggest security crisis in decades amid tensions.
