Unpaid Salaries: Ondo Doctors Begin Indefinite Strike

Ondo Doctors' Strike

An indefinite strike has started on Monday, over unpaid salaries and other allowances of doctors in Ondo State.

Those involved on the strike are:  doctors in Ondo State under the auspices of the National Association of Resident Doctors, the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Ondo, chapter.

Meanwhile, the doctors had earlier gone on a week warning strike last week alleging that the government remained adamant about not responding to their demands, hence the declaration of the indefinite strike.

The acting President of the National Association of Resident Doctors, UNIMEDTH Ondo, Dr Sanni Oriyomi so has reacted to the situation. He said his members could no longer work without being paid.

There are claims by Oriyomi that government is still owing them four and a half months salaries, COVID-19 allowance, and other entitlements.
