Ex-Manchester United forward Memphis Depay said Barcelona are interested in taking him to Camp Nou.
According to Ben Hayward, the talented player disclosed that he will speak to Lyon over a possible transfer, Evening Standard reports.
A reliable source also disclosed that Depay who has emerged as an alternative to Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez is admired by Barca coach Ronald Koeman, his former Netherlands boss.
While looking for a replacement for Luis Suarez, Barca are in the market for an attacker.
In reaction to the development, Depay revealed to Dutch station NOS: “Let’s see what happens,” after the Netherlands’ 1-0 loss to Italy in the Uefa Nations League on Monday night.
“Tomorrow I will speak with Olympique Lyon. I know there is interest, but I don’t want to say much more, mainly because I haven’t spoken much to my agent.
Meanwhile, if the 26 year-old pushes to leave this year, he could be signed for around €30million because he will be out of contract next summer.
