Iwobi Wins MOTM As Everton Beat West Ham

Nigerian and Everton football star, Alex Iwobi has been voted Man Of The Match after Everton beat West Ham 1-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday.

It was a significant win for the Toffees which ended in a six-game winless run.

The former Arsenal player did not score the only goal of the match, but his acknowledgement as the Man of the Match reflected in the assist he made for Neal Maupay, who converted the only goal for Everton the in the first half.

Interestingly, the 26-year-old midfielder has provided assist for Everton’s last two goals in the Premier League.

The win for Everton did not actually come easy as they fought very hard with West Ham at Goodison Park, which has become their longest wait for their first league victory in a season since 2010-11.

Since the appointment of Frank Lampard as Everton manager, Iwobi has been in a superb form.

However, the talented player while speaking during his post-match conference admitted that Everton manager, Lampard had an impact on his career.

“I’ve always had the mindset that I can try to prove people wrong. The manager has given me faith to do so, and how to express myself as I always do in training,” Iwobi said.
