Manchester City FC has confirmed on Monday that midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has tested positive for Covid-19.
On the development, a statement from City read, “Manchester City FC can confirm that Ilkay Gundogan has tested positive for COVID-19,”
“Ilkay is now observing a 10-day period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine.
“Everyone at the club wishes Ilkay a speedy recovery.”
So far on those the Manchester City players that have tested positive, the Germany international becomes the third City player to return a positive test in recent weeks after Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte forced to self-isolate earlier this month.
