Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Primary

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has won the party’s presidential primary.

Tinubu scored over 1,271 votes to beat ex-minister Rotimi Amaechi his closest rival who scored 316 votes while Vice President Yemi Osinbajo scored 235 votes.

Mr Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Mr Ahmed Rufai, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Mr Jack Rich, Governor Ben Ayade, Governor David Umahi, Senator Ahmed Yarima, Dr Ahmed Lawan, Osinbajo, Amaechi, Governor Yahaya Bello and Mr Ogbonnaya Onu are the other aspirants that contested with him.

Meanwhile, Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa, Robert Boroffice, Ken Nnamani, Ibikunle Amosun, Dimeji Bankole, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi and Godswill Akpabio, were the nine aspirants that stepped down, earlier.

Eight of them asked their supporters to vote for Tinubu, while one asked his supporters to vote for Osinbajo.
