The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is currently leading as votes are being counted in the first box at the ongoing national convention of the party.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, former minister Rotimi Amaechi, and Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello are the other aspirants who got votes in the box.
The sorting of votes by national delegates is still on at the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress in Eagles Square, Abuja.
This is happening after the All Progressives Congress embarked on voting, which just ended early Wednesday.
Meanwhile, about seven presidential contenders had stepped down earlier for the former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The ballot casting exercise to determine the fate of aspirants, which was carried out by 2,340 delegates, started at about 2.40 am and at 7.45 am.
As the counting of delegates votes continues, members of the public are eager to see who will win the contest among Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Dave Umahi, Rotimi Amaechi and Ahmad Lawan.
A total of 2,260 delegates of the All Progressives Congress will, on Wednesday, vote at the party’s Presidential Primary elections at Eagle Square, Abuja.
This was disclosed by the convention Electoral Committee in the early hours of Wednesday.
