Lagos Commuters Stranded In Early Morning Downpour

Millions of commuters were stranded as heavy rains hit Lagos early Thursday morning.

Lagos residents who trooped to the roads for their daily endeavours could not get to their various offices and stores due to the rain.

Many were stuck in the traffic and bus stops as only a few vehicles were available to convey them.

The rains, which began at about 6am in some parts of Lagos and Ogun states continued for hours, leading to flooding in the metropolis.

The commercial bus drivers capitalised on this downpour to increase the cost of transportation.
