Apongbon Fire Outbreak: Traffic Diverted To Ebute Ero

Men of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LaSTMA working with Lagos Fire Service have diverted all traffic away from Apongbon to Ebute-Ero.

This is due to the fire outbreak under Apongbon Bridge where many shops were burnt early morning of Wednesday.

A LASTMA official who spoke with our correspondent said that all vehicles going to Marina would have to pass through Ebute-Ero to link outer Marina.

According to the LASTMA official with a name tag, Nuru, it is not safe for any vehicle to ply the bridge now until it is ascertained fit for vehicular movement.

“The instruction is that we should not even allow Okada to pass, ” he said.

Meanwhile, the traffic situation along the route is bad at present as the journey of five minutes now take three hours or more.
