A candlelight procession scheduled to take place on Thursday 21st September 2023 has been organised in honour of the late rapper Mohbad Imole.
According to a reliable source, the procession starts from Lekki Phase 1 Gate and ends at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The tribute concert to mark his time on earth as a singer starts at 8 pm prompt at Muri Okunola Park.
Mohbad, 27, will be remembered for songs like “Account Balance, Pariwo, Beast and Peace, Ask About Me and Cinderella to mention a few.
The sudden death of Mohbad which occurred on the 12th of September 2023, has triggered a lot of reactions in some parts of the country, thereby leading to comments from the public and a walk from music fans, who have been demanding for justice for the late artiste.
In response to the reactions, the Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave his support to the police to conduct investigations on the death of the late singer who was once under Naira Marley’s record label.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, said the there is a good ground treat the death of Mohbad; Ileri Oluwa Oladimeji Aloba as a case of homicide.
An assurance has been made by the Nigerian Police Force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi who affirmed that anyone who is indicted in the death of Afrobeats musician, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba known as Mohbad will not go unpunished.
