Renowned singer, Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, well known as Kizz Daniel, has been released from police custody in Tanzania, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission reports.
Before this development, it was revealed in video that went viral on social media on Monday that , The Punch reports.
With so much inquisitiveness to know why he was arrested, social media users said he was arrested for not performing in a show he was invited for.
After the video had gone viral, other sources disclosed that the arrest may not be unconnected to the singer’s failure to perform at an event in the country, as it was also confirmed that no official statement was issued by the authorities.
While the reactions and comments about the singer’s arrest was on social media NiDCOM, in a tweet, revealed that the singer was being held at Oyster Bay Police Station Civil Police in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Commission said, “We are presently engaging our Mission and see what can be done. We will keep the public posted with our investigation. Thank you.”
In confirmation about the arrest status of the talented artiste, NiDCOM said, “Kizz Daniel has been released. His legal team will, however, report back to the police tomorrow while he will subsequently return to Nigeria.”
