Coronavirus Vaccine: Dolly Parton Gets 2nd Shot

Dolly Parton Receives Coronavirus Vaccine

Country music icon, Dolly Parton has received her second dose of the coronavirus vaccine at Vanderbilt Health Nashville.

This development was revealed on the songwriter’s twitter account on Friday. It was written, “Dolly gets a (second) dose of her own medicine,”

“Thank you Dr. Naji Abumrad, Andrea Calhoun and Heather O’Dell of @VUMChealth.”

The Moderna vaccine reportedly has a 94.1% success rate.  Parton received her first coronavirus vaccine dose in early March, which was developed by Moderna, an American pharmaceutical and biotechnology company.

Last year, the 75 year-old singer displayed some humanitarian gestures donating $1 million to Vanderbilt University for coronavirus vaccine research and development.

According to the New England Journal of Medicine the donation allegedly helped researchers conduct trial phases that led to the development of the Moderna vaccine.
